Rust Console Edition has today launched update 1.08 on console platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and additions with this patch. As this is classified as a hotfix, today’s patch really just comes with a handful of bug fixes to improve the game’s quality. With Rust being as large of a game as it is, it’s good to see they’re at least ensuring some of the long-standing bugs are taken care of. With that being said though, don’t expect to write home about this patch. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Rust Console Edition update 1.08!
Rust Console Edition Update 1.08 Patch Notes
- Fixed Garage door collisions. Players should be able to use jump ups again.
- Crafting UI, Map UI and Inventory UI now contain the same button prompt. “Close” and “Back”.
- Fixed a missing frame in the aiming animation for the crossbow.
- Fixed the stuttering animation of jackhammer while holding it.
- Fixed a bug causing the skin bundle Preview to show incorrect logos, this is now [store] instead of [locker].
- Fixed a bug stopping players from purchasing the bundle until they have as many Rustcoins as the original price (Non-discounted).
- Fixed a crash with Skin store scrolling.
- Added more debugging into the skin store to track issues with Australia.
Like said, not a lot to talk about here. Garage door collision issues have been spoken about among the community (as evidenced by a recent tweet from the Rust Twitter account) and some of these other bugs are nice and all, but it’s really meant to serve those who are still playing. If you’re itching for new content, this won’t be a patch for you.
