Publisher and developer, Double Eleven have launched Rust Console Edition on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The long-awaited arrival is finally here, as Rust makes its way to the console colony today!

Rust is a popular survival game with the main objective of collecting resources for a sturdy base, gathering supplies for raiding, and seeking out potential loot you can utilize to your advantage. The title has been around since 2013 to where it started its early access. However, it has since grown drastically, gathering a large player base and hitting the big leagues on Steam.

Facepunch being the main developer of Rust has had positive feedback from the title. Thus shifting the mindset on a console port by teaming up with Double Eleven. Likewise, the title in the form of a port could contain some early issues amongst gameplay. But with that being said, players will be expecting the developers to focus on improving any issues at hand amongst release. Above all, a trailer showing off the console port has been released.

Originally designed for PC, there are no known differences between the two. The best guess would be the removal of the graphics settings tab, as the port is designed to be optimized for consoles anyway. Another feature that could potentially be removed is the FOV (Field of View) setting, but let’s not expect the worse.

Furthermore, the Rust Console Edition looks to be surrounded by hype amongst the hardcore fans. And so it should be, as cross-play is most certainly enabled. Allowing consoles to clash amongst those harsh servers. Hardcore survival players will be competing amongst both Xbox and PlayStation platforms, essentially meaning many servers being filled with coherent players. So get in the queue before it’s too late!

All in all, Rust is set out on another journey throughout a fresh start within the console community. Here’s hoping that this port will be feasible, as well as worthwhile in regards to purchasing the title.
