Fans of the reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race were left gagged when the show finally crowned its season 14 winner. The finale extravaganza was filmed in Las Vegas at the Flamingo Hotel. This episode also marks the show’s first in-person ceremony after the two-year impact of the pandemic. Like many past seasons, season 14 concluded with many twists, turns, and milestones under its belt. Unlike the previous finales, the remaining queens had performed their own solo lipsyncs. This is a first as they are usually all put on the same stage to perform altogether. This season also saw the winner receiving a series high prize of $150,000 cash prize, and the runner up winning a prize of $50,000.

Other highlights of this finale included RuPaul receiving the key to Clark County and a video tribute to the drag queen Hot Chocolate.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14: A Fight For the Crown

(The rest of the article spoils season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race).

The final episode saw Angeria Paris VanMichaels, Bosco, Daya Better, Lady Camden, and Wiklow Pill each fight for the crown. Angeria made her lipsync a high-energy rap, followed by Bosco with a burlesque-inspired performance. Daya followed with a rock song, leaving Lady Camden with a Queen-inspired number and Willow Pill with a “Vogue”-like routine.

Ultimately, RuPaul decided that Lady Camden and Willow Pill were the two finalists. They were then made to lipsync to Cher’s rendition of “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” by Abba. Each of the finalists shocked the judges with their layered looks, but RuPaul eventually decided on a winner.

Like her drag mother (Yvie Oddly) in season 11, Willow Pill was crowned the winner for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14. Fan-favorite queen Kornbread had won Miss Congeniality (the kindest queen) for this season.
