Square Enix previously hinted that the release date might be in Summer 2016. We also know that they plan on announcing the release date during a special event in March 2016. The game will also be out simultaneously worldwide and this date is a perfect time to release a game of this magnitude
Any date between June or September for Final Fantasy XV seems plausible. I doubt Square Enix wants to release the game in Fall 2016. Fall is usually a busy time as people will be playing lots of other games instead. June is not so crowded so it’s the perfect time to drop a big game like this.
Treat this news as a rumor for now until we get an official release date. Even an official release date may not be final until the game goes gold. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End got delayed recently by one month. Hopefully the 2016 release is still legit. The last thing fans want is another delay for the game…
