There are a few games that have touched on the beauty and fear of the northern outdoors. Snow all around you, trees and mountains as far as the eye can see, and no one but yourself to keep you company. It has its share of positives, but in the case of games like The Long Dark, it can take a turn for the worse. That’s just the case with Roki, a charming adventure that’s been on PC for some time. Now, it’s time for another platform to have its turn. Roki is now available on Nintendo Switch, giving joycon users an indie game that’s as charming as it is stunning. You can find the Nintendo Switch launch trailer below.

Roki follows the story of Tove, a young girl who’s given the power of magic. Using this, she’ll take a walk through these northern lands of snowy trees, but it’s not all fun and games. Monsters of otherworldly origin have appeared, leaving her with no option but to fight back. Take down evil creatures, explore lush landscapes, and travel deeper into the northern forests to discover the truth about these appearances. You can take this 12-15 hour adventure on the Nintendo Switch right now for $15.99, which isn’t too bad of a deal for what you’re getting.

Roki has everything visually going for it to make for a great indie title, but don’t just take it from me. Roki co-directors Tom Jones and Alex Kanaris-Sotiriou had this to say:
