For years, fans have speculated on Rocksteady’s next big project after Batman: Arkham Knight. While many believed the studio would develop a game centered around the Man of Steel or even the entire Justice League, it seems that Rocksteady is going in another (more villainous) direction.
Apparently, a Suicide Squad game is reportedly in the works at Rocksteady Studios. This all started over at Resetera. User DriftingOrbit noticed a company that has connections to wbgames.com registered for multiple domain names including “suicidesquadgame.com”, “gothamknightsgame.com.”, and “suicidesquadkillthejusticeleague.com”.
Tom Phillips from Eurogamer would later confirm these findings. According to Phillips, Rocksteady is at the helm of a Suicide Squad game and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could end up being the final title. Not only that but the aforementioned game will reportedly be shown at August’s DC Fandome event. However, Phillips said to “expect to see very little of Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad” at the event.
A Suicide Squad game has been rumored to be in the works for years. Back in 2017, Kotaku reported that WB Montreal, not Rocksteady, had canceled a co-op Suicide Squad project in favor of working on a Batman game with the focus on Damian Wayne.
What About Gotham Knights?
The Eurogamer report also mentioned the Gotham Knights domain name. It seems that Gotham Knights is connected to the Batman project that has been teased by WB Montreal for the past year.

Like Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad, it was said to expect to see little of Gotham Knights at the DC Fandome event as both DC games are being made for next-gen consoles.
And as always with reports like these, you should take all this with a grain of salt until WB Montreal or Rocksteady confirms it.
