Rockstar Games has built up a massive catalog of greatest hits and high-grossing titles that millions have played. The latest Grand Theft Auto title, GTA V, goes on to hit high on sales charts seven years after release. Even by AAA standards, that’s a level of profit unheard of from other companies. That’s not even including releases such as Red Dead Redemption II. There’s plenty of fresh titles coming from the studio and with the number of people playing those titles, you likely want to see next-gen support. You’re in luck, as Rockstar Games has confirmed a handful of compatible titles. Below, you can find a list of backward-compatible Rockstar titles for Xbox One that are carrying over to the Xbox Series X/S:
- Bully: Scholarship Edition
- Grand Theft Auto IV
- GTA: Episodes from Liberty City
- GTA: San Andreas
- Midnight Club: Los Angeles
- Red Dead Redemption
- Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis
Xbox isn’t the only platform getting the next-gen treatment. Rockstar Games also compiled a list of PlayStation 2 titles that are carrying their backward compatibility over to the next-gen consoles:
- Bully
- Grand Theft Auto III
- GTA: San Andreas
- GTA: Vice City
- Manhunt
- Max Payne
- Red Dead Revolver
- The Warriors
Having this large ensemble of Rockstar titles available on next-gen is great. Of course, you can expect Rockstar Games’ two crown jewels of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption II to be compatible with next-gen hardware. Whether you own the physical or digital version of either title, you can pop it in your new console and see your saves retained. Make sure you have cloud saves active before switching though, as saves may not carry over otherwise.
