Psyonix has continued its support of Rocket League on all platforms with new exclusive items coming to PlayStation. With the recent launch of Insomniac Games’ Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Psyonix is including new Ratchet and Clank cosmetics honoring the release. Alongside the release of the new season, Psyonix has also been doing some work under the hood. With updates made to the performance on PlayStation 5, Rocket League is going to start playing a lot better on PS5. Despite the performance updates coming to only PS5, the new cosmetics will be available to claim for all users on PlayStation consoles. Announced today in a PlayStation blog post were all the upcoming additions and changes.

When Will These New Rocket League Cosmetics Drop?
Easily one of the best upcoming updates are the performance updates for 4k resolution on PS5. Running 70% of 4K quality for 120 FPS is extremely impressive. The quality mode is even better with 60fps at native 4k. Alongside the new Ratchet and Clank cosmetics, these additions will be available starting tomorrow, August 18. With two new toppers, decals and one new exclusive boost. All themed items will be claimable whether or not Rocket League players have a PlayStation 5. The only requirement to claim the Ratchet and Clank items is to be playing from either a PS4 or PS5. Since the title has been free-to-play for almost a year now, players don’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription to claim the items. Starting tomorrow, all players can log in from a PlayStation console to start claiming these new Ratchet and Clank items. For players unfamiliar with the process, it’s as simple as downloading Rocket League for free on the PlayStation Store, linking your epic account and finally claiming the new items.
