Popular exercise game Ring Fit Adventure received a free content update today on the Nintendo Switch. The update adds a new exercise rhythm game, jogging mode, and more.

The update came as a part of today’s Nintendo Direct Mini, which featured the announcement of Bioshock, Borderlands, and XCOM 2 collections coming to Switch.

Ring Fit Adventure combines the action of RPG combat with different exercises to create an intense workout. Along with different assists and variability, it allows anyone to customize it to get the best out of their workouts.

Ring Fit Adventure Adds Exercise Rhythm Game

The most significant change in the new update is a rhythm exercise game. Players will have to do different exercises to the beat of the music to get high scores.

Not only does the game include music from Ring Fit Adventure, but also music from Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Each of the songs has a range of difficulty levels to try, as well as allowing you to work either your upper or lower body.

Another significant change to the game is the addition of the Jog Mode. While normal levels will have you jog to different exercise battles, Jog Mode lets you slow down and just jog through different levels.

While the core of the game is to go through the different combat scenarios through exercising, have the Jog Mode as a nice cooldown option is a major plus. For those that live in apartment settings, there is an option to change the jogging, so you are not loudly stomping on top of someone.

Other changes include a female voice for your Ring to coach you through exercises and new language options.

Ring Fit Adventure has become a popular option for those looking to exercise indoors. Copies of the game were already hard to come by, but due to the worldwide coronavirus quarantine, the game is sold out all over.
