Fans are slamming Ashley Darby’s colorist remarks after a heated argument with co-star Candiace Dillard. However, RHOP’s Ashley Darby refuted the claims saying she isn’t a colorist. Read on for more details.

Fans Criticize Ashley For Her Remarks

Ashley was involved in an altercation with fellow RHOP star Candiace Dillard, making people label her a colorist. The latest episode of the Bravo series showed her in a heated verbal match with Candiace.

Ashely claimed that Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassett, has been “in some other DMs” of women and has been “flirty” with one of her friends at a recent event.

An angered Candiace retaliated in turn. The 35-year-old claimed that Ashley’s husband, Michael, whom she is divorcing, would leave her to have sex with another man.

After the episode aired, fans took sides with Candiace and rebuked Ashley for being a colorist. One fan tweeted:

Another fan tweeted that Ashley is a colorist because she gives varying opportunities to people based on their skin color.

The fan claimed that Ashley alienated Wendy, unlike what she did for the bandits, even when they had issues.

Ashley Darby is a colorist because she didn’t give Wendy the same opportunity for friendship she did for the bandits even when they had issues. Ashley Darby would NEVER hide anyone’s room info on a trip but she did to Candiace. Ashley literally treats them differently!! #RHOP

RHOP’S Ashley Darby Shuts Down Colorist Accusations

The Real Housewives of Potomac star took to her Instagram stories on Monday, November 14, to address the accusations against her.

A post shared by Ashley Boalch Darby (@ashleyboalchdarby)

The TV personality expressed her unwillingness to address such a sensitive issue on Instagram afterward. However, she felt the need to since it spiraled out of control.

The former beauty pageant queen noted that she has disagreed with several other castmates in the past.

Ashley mentioned Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant and stated that she has never considered “the hue” of anyone’s skin color.

Ashley maintained that she cared about her co-stars and hoped they all knew her disagreements with them were never based on their skin color.

Ashley Darby’s colorist remarks will need an apology this time so everyone can finally move on. Besides, getting into disagreements with everyone severally might not be a healthy way to form bonds.
