Resident Evil Village, the highly anticipated eighth mainline game in the series, is finally available! Fans can finally jump into Castle Dimitrescu and experience all its scares, thrills, and tall evil vampire ladies you wish to step on you. Jokes aside, relatively early on, you’ll find yourself forced to fend off an attack from various werewolf enemies which can be rather challenging and a bit confusing. No need to worry though as, in this guide, we’ll explain exactly how to survive the werewolf attack in Resident Evil Village.
How to Survive the Werewolf Attack in Resident Evil Village
The objective begins once you’ve entered the barn within the village, thus triggering a group of werewolves to spawn. Once this happens, the “Survive the attack” objective pops up. From here, you must barricade the door and simply deal with the werewolves as best you can. If we may make a suggestion, barricading the door and waiting for the werewolf to make a hole can make easy work for a few shots to the head. Once you’ve cleared out some of the werewolves in a rather hectic battle, you’ll run into another group of wolves which continues this quest.
From there, like most objectives in Resident Evil Village, surviving the attack involves you evading the werewolves for long enough. It may surprise you to know though that you don’t actually have to kill any during this rather intense sequence. You must simply survive as long as possible. What you’re looking for is the giant werewolf to spawn (it’s very loud, you can’t miss it), who causes less trouble than you may be lead to believe. After a few minutes of survival, eventually, the werewolves will do some damage to you and get you into the red. Here, a cutscene will play and the werewolves will all be called back to Castle Dimitrescu just before they can turn you into bloody bits. With that, you will have survived this traumatic encounter with more than just an elevated heart rate.
