Now that we know what Project Resistance is, we’re starting to find out more about the characters in it.
The newest Resident Evil project has been officially revealed. We know now that it is a 4v1 team-based game along the lines of Dead by Daylight. The format is becoming more popular as this generation of video games continues on. On Thursday, Capcom began shedding some light on just who gamers will play as in the upcoming title. The official Resident Evil Twitter account has started releasing character info drip by drip.
The first Project Resistance character introduced was Samuel Jordan. He’s apparently the melee fighter of the group and his backstory appears to be that of a boxer.
The short and sweet character description says he was the “king of the ring until a critical injury ended his promising boxing career, he applied to take part in clinical trials for an experimental drug before [REDACTED].”

Along with the description came a couple of images, including one with another of the Project Resistance characters in action. A few hours later, we were introduced to January Van Sant.

This character’s skills are listed as those that will disrupt the Mastermind’s activities as a skilled hacker. Her backstory is as someone who was hired by a journalist to find out what’s going on in Raccoon City. During her investigation, she found some info she shouldn’t and got herself in a spot of trouble. Obviously, Capcom isn’t quite done showing off the main characters in their newest title.
Friday morning, yet another character was revealed.
Name: Valerie HarmonSkills: Heals teammates and locates items ?
Bio: Valerie recently landed an internship at [REDACTED] facility, but she vanished while researching her roomate’s sudden amnesia.#ProjectResistance pic.twitter.com/FOSSXHVVLf

Valerie Harmon is the healer of the group. It appears she landed in the facility where the game takes place while looking for a cure for roommate’s amnesia.
The Resident Evil Twitter account is one of the best at allowing info out at a trickle. It seems likely we’ll be meeting two more Project Resistance characters in the coming days. After that, a full bio on the Mastermind is sure to follow.
Resident Evil Project Resistance is having a Beta in October and then is slated for release on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime in early 2020.
