Sony has revealed the top sellers for January on the PlayStation Store with Resident Evil HD Remaster taking the top spot on both PS3 and PS4. The game is an HD remaster of the Gamecube remake of the PS1 classic, which revolutionized survival horror gaming. It most likely sold well due to a lower price point and the fact that this is the first time this specific version of Resident Evil has been available on a system other than the Nintendo Gamecube.
In the second place spots on the PlayStation Store came Dying Light for PS4 and Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition, which continues to hold its spot near the top of the charts. Grand Theft Auto V took third on both main systems as well. On the PS Vita, Minecraft: PS Vita Edition retained its #1 position, with Persona 4 Golden and LittleBigPlanet finishing out the top three. Destiny: The Dark Below also remained the best selling add-on content across both main PlayStation consoles through the PlayStation Store for January. Take a look at the full charts below.
