Soulslikes honestly don’t get great rep these days, and a lot of the time it’s deserved. Most can be simply defined as a copy of Dark Souls in every way but the world, with that world being half baked. One of the few soulslikes I found myself genuinely surprised by though is Remnant: From the Ashes. Not only does it offer the aspect of guns over melee, but its world-building and mechanics offer something fresh. It seems I’m not the only one who thinks so, as Remnant has now sold over 2,500,000 copies. Given how great it is, that comes as no surprise to me. You can check out the newest trailer, celebrating the news, below.

Since Remnant: From the Ashes launched in August 2019, the base game has gotten 1,700,000 sales. The premium DLCs, on the other hand, have seen one million copies sold. These are in no doubt thanks to the Remnant: From the Ashes – Complete Edition that started selling with Subject 2923’s release. Needless to say, Gunfire Games and Perfect World Entertainment have plenty to celebrate. To go with the achievement, the base game will be on sale for 50% off and the Complete Edition 25% off during the Steam Autumn Sale (starting tomorrow) and the Epic Games Store Black Friday sale.

To go with the Remnant: From the Ashes news, Yoon Im, CEO of Perfect World Entertainment, had this to say:

Remnant: From the Ashes is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
