Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi Note 7 in India, at a launch event in New Delhi. The Redmi Note 7 joins the wildly popular budget phone segment that’s dominated by Xiaomi phones, even through rising competition from brands like Asus and Realme. The Redmi Note 7 takes a lot of steps to solidify Xiaomi’s hold on the Indian smartphone market, and improves upon a bunch of important things as far as specs and design are concerned.

The Redmi Note 7 will be available in India starting from 6th March, at a price of Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant, and Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. The phone will be sold online through through Mi.com and Flipkart, along with Xiaomi’s fast growing network of offline retail stores in the country.

Among the many improvements that the Redmi Note 7 brings over its predecessors, there are a couple of notable improvements. For starters, the Redmi Note 7 finally makes the shift to USB-C, which is definitely a great thing. Along with that, the phone has a 12MP sensor with a larger pixel size to ensure better low light photography.
