After all of the rumors that have been piling up for months on top of the teasing that Rockstar Games has been doing for the past couple of days, the developer has finally announced the next game in the Red Dead series. Even better, it will be continuing on with the Redemption name, as it is simply called Red Dead Redemption 2.

Plot details have not yet been revealed other than a brief synopsis, but a trailer will be released this Thursday at 11 AM ET. The following is a synopsis from Rockstar’s website:

“Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.”

The developer also shares a mailing list link for everyone to keep up to date on everything Red Dead Redemption 2 related, which you can sign up for by clicking right here.

That’s really all the news that was released at this time, so it looks like Thursday will be the day when we get the full scoop on the game. Right now the game is confirmed for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
