Realme’s endeavor to capture a bigger chunk of the budget smartphone market doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. This Oppo spin-off is giving Xiaomi a hard time since the last one and a half years. And well, its assault against its Chinese counterpart continues with the launch of the Realme XT. It’s the first 64MP camera phone to land in India and it will go up against the Redmi Note 8 Pro when it comes to India next month.

Let me start off by saying that the Realme XT is essentially a Realme 5 Pro with a 64MP primary sensor and a glass rear panel. Yeah, the company has adopted a new hyperbola light effect with a 3D glass back panel, finally, with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. This means your Realme phones will no longer scratch up within just a few days of use.

In the camera department, as you would already know, the Realme XT features a 64MP primary sensor made by Samsung. Yes, it is the 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor that also comes baked into the Redmi Note 8 Pro that should launch in India next month. All other sensors onboard here are same as the Realme 5 Pro, which means you will get an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for crisp bokeh pictures.

All essential connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port are baked into the Realme XT as well. There’s a 4,000 mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast-charging technology, which means you can charge the device completely within 80 minutes.
