Realme’s first set of quad-camera smartphones, Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro today made their much-awaited debut in India. The latter of the two phones, the Realme 5 Pro, is the successor to Realme 3 Pro that was launched just a few months ago. It comes as a minor upgrade on the internals front, being backed by the Snapdragon 712 chipset, but with a major camera upgrade – thanks to the four sensors onboard.
- AnTuTu Benchmark
The Snapdragon 712 may be a minor upgrade over the Snapdragon 710 chipset. It comes with the same cores, the same GPU, the same modem, and the same ISP. It only differs in one aspect – the clock speed of the Kryo 360 cores. It has a higher clock speed, and that results in 10% faster performance.

Well, the 3DMark benchmark results are clear as day. The Snapdragon 712 is backed by the Adreno 616 GPU, which is the same as the Snapdragon 710 chipset. The Adreno 616 GPU is more powerful than the Adreno 612 GPU on the Snapdragon 675 chipset, which shows in the benchmark results below. The Snapdragon 712 is possibly one of the best devices to game on, especially if you have a Rs 15,000 budget constraint. L to R: Snapdragon 675 vs Snapdragon 710 vs Snapdragon 712

Mobile gaming is one of the key aspects that consumers nowadays keep in mind before buying a new smartphone. Snapdragon 712 is a pretty powerful mid-range chipset with Adreno 616 GPU and it should easily be able to handle most things you throw at it.
I didn’t notice any stutters or frame drops in my games, so it means you can comfortably enjoy some of the most graphics-intensive games on the Realme 5 Pro. We also played a few games of Asphalt 9 on the Realme 5 Pro and it also runs without any issues.
