Rainbow Six Siege has today released its June 22 update on console platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Now, as you may have already guessed from the fact that this is exclusively a console update, today doesn’t bring a whole lot in terms of new features or major changes to the gameplay. With the recent Vector Glare update that’s to be expected, though it’s important to note this is a bug fix update through and through. Still, with some rather strong fixes to issues reported by the community. Without further ado, here’s everything new with Rainbow Six Siege in its June 22 update!
Rainbow Six Siege June 22 Update Patch Notes
The following was posted to the official Rainbow Six Siege Twitter account:
- Inconsistent positioning
- Penalty banner display issues
- Y7S2 Welcome Pack missing from the in-game store on PlayStation
- Missing VO effects
Kicking things off is one of the major issues players encountered, which was audio giving off incorrect positioning and throwing off aim. Given how much this was reported on console, it’s nice to see it taken care of. Following that is a penalty banner display issue which isn’t as exciting but is still a good change to see. After that is the Y7S2 Welcome Pack being returned to the in-game store which isn’t all that exciting either unless you planned to purchase it but is a good fix regardless. Finishing things off is some VO effects returning which is a nice change, as having those back can bring some decent gameplay benefits. While the R6 update today may not be anything incredible, hopefully, the next update brings some balancing changes to all platforms or something of the like.
Rainbow Six Siege and the June 22 update are available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. For more information regarding this update, check out the official Twitter post.
