Sony’s PSN network has been seeing intermittent service outages this weekend.  Earlier today, players were unable to sign into the network which lasted for only a short period of time.  The network has been restored and appears to be functioning properly.  Sony acknowledged the outage early today via Twitter, and urged players not to sign out of the network.

Hopefully this is a precursor for the return of the PlayStation Store which is still tentatively scheduled for a full restoration at some point within the next three days.  At this point it doesn’t appear to be anything nefarious involved with the recent outage, especially considering how quickly the network was back up and running.

PSN is experiencing a couple of issues with sign in right now, looking into it, in the meantime don’t sign out!
