Users can then take this video, save it to a USB, then upload it to the video sharing site of their choosing. A huge step forward from the feature set that the console launched with. For those that want to capture their own video, third party capture cards will now be able to bypass HDCP protection on games.
For the Twitch streaming community on PS4, Live Broadcasts are getting a bump in quality. Following the update, streams will now be in 720p, with the ability to archive the content.
While these new sharing tools are certainly nice, there’s a bunch of other features included in the update for those who this doesn’t affect. The Lightbar on the DualShock 4 will soon be able to be dimmed, the freinds list is a getting a multitude of tweaks, and there will be new ways to sort trophies on the user interface.
