Battlefield 5 may not even have been announced yet but it seems analysts are pegging the release to hit sometime in 2016. An article on IGN reports that analysts at Stern Agee believe that the first-person shooter franchise won’t see it’s next numbered entry until sometime in 2016. Today more rumors have been circulating that PSN customer credit card information has been put up for sale on the black market. A rumored 2.2 million credit card numbers that were stolen from the PlayStation Network’s user data-base are rumored to be obtainable at a price. The database is said to include full user details for each card – first and last name; address; phone number; email address; email password; date of birth; and credit card number, expiry date and security code....

Speaking with EDGE, Sony’s Michael Denny explained that the company may have learned a serious lesson with the PlayStation 3 launch. “We listen and learn and take the judgement from every console launch we ever have and we have to be in formed by what the strengths of our PlayStation 3 system have been, but also the challenges… We want a system that can reach as broad a gaming audience as possible but whilst being a system that’s deep, connected, rich and immersive and is going to give a very focused and differentiated experience than anything else that’s out there....

PlayStation 5 has been trademarked at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property on January 27, 2020. The news, initially reported by LetsGoDigital, is being interpreted as yet another sign of an incoming reveal of the next-gen platform from Sony.
