Rogue Company has today launched update 1.77 on all platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with today’s patch. By far, the biggest change being introduced today is the new Rogue Cannon. Cannon can wield both an Assault Rifle and a Shotgun, bringing some serious power to a fight. He also has a Gatling Gun ability alongside the Conflict Connoisseur perk, looking to bring some serious pain to the other rogues....

If you have played Star Wars Battlefront, you’ll know there is not many offline multiplayer modes on offer. This may change in a future update patch that should be released later this year. As reported by WCCFtech, an EA customer support technician may have revealed that more offline modes will be coming to Star Wars Battlefront. This was revealed during a conversation a gamer was having with EA Support. The gamer asked if the game would be adding the “online game modes to offline game play“....

Rust Console Edition does not appear to be coming to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, according to the game’s ESRB Ratings page. The Entertainment Software Ratings Board page, which recently handed Rust a 17+ Mature rating for blood and violence, reveals that the survival title will only launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There’s no word on whether Rust Console Edition will utilize backwards compatibility features on PS5 or Xbox Series X, or if either port will be playable on these systems with in-game enhancements....

The Wave 4 amiibo issues have been prevalent over the last three weeks, ever since they first went up for pre-order in the US. PUBG Mobile is all set to get a new update that will bring a slew of new features to celebrate the season. According to the official patch notes, PUBG Mobile v0.16.0 will bring along a number of new features including a snow-covered Erangel, a button to switch between TPP and FPP, a new EvoGround mode called ‘RageGear’ and a special winter festival called ‘Snow Paradise’. Players will also be able to use medical items, such as Painkillers, Energy Drinks and Bandages to heal while moving....

PUBG Corp officially released a new post on its game page, confirming that it’ll be making changes to its crate system. As such, the following will take place as of Dec. 18. Random Crates purchased with BP will no longer contain crates that require a key to open. Locked Crates from Random purchases will no longer be available starting Dec. 18th. Crates already in your inventory or acquired via the marketplace can still be opened with the appropriate key, which can still be purchased from the store and can still be purchased or sold on the marketplace....

While we learned a while ago that Capcom would be removing the controversial butt slap that fighter R. Mika did in a gameplay trailer for Street Fighter V, we now have some information coming directly from the team as to why this was done. The information was revealed by the game’s producer, Yoshinori Ono, where he essentially said that the move to remove the butt slap and other gratuitous shots in the game was done to avoid making potential new fans to the series from feeling uncomfortable....

According to GameStop’s vice president of merchandising Eric Bright, the retailer expects Red Dead Redemption 2 to be the best selling game this year, despite launching quite late in the season. “Red Dead is going to be a top game of the year, hands down,” Bright told GamesIndustry International. “We had an exclusive Red Dead Collector’s Edition that we put up for pre-order and it sold out in a day and a half....
