Publisher Arc System Works and developer APlus Games have announced River City Saga: Three Kingdoms, and it will release on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on July 21. The Roblox company has acquired Guilded, a social platform that connects gaming communities, for an undisclosed amount. Although Guilded will continue to operate independently, this acquisition is the latest effort to contain the Roblox community under one platform. Rogue Company released a new patch on October 14, packed with content inspired by streamer Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm. Beahm’s collaboration with Rogue Company developer Hi-Rez began, rather publicly, with a Twitter exchange back in August, in which they agreed to let him design a map for the game. The map is finished and live as of today, along with two new game modes and a Dr Disrespect-inspired cosmetic. The Resident Evil 3 Remake was finally officially announced during the PlayStation’s State of Play this week. It raised a few eyebrows because of the quick turnaround, turns out the immediate release was not down to insane crunch time, but actually because Capcom wanted to sell Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes as a bundle. The ‘Legacy Dashboard Dynamic Theme’ is the result of two years of work in which the developers have recreated every aspect of the classic dashboard separately, which combined represent a perfect reconstruction of the sights, sounds, and functionalities. It runs at 1080 resolution and 60 FPS, and has been developed with 4K displays in mind....

You might’ve heard of the issue on PlayStation 4 with messages coming from strangers bricking the consoles for some reason. Well, Sony’s heard too and is actively working to fix the issue. The situation is not very clear yet, though, as PlayStation UK claimed it had fixed the problem in the first place and it didn’t even have the consoles bricking, just putting them in a sort of loop you could get out of thanks to the mobile app....

Sales of the PS4 were really healthy in Australia in 2015. The console managed to outsell its competitors by a healthy margin. As reported by VG24/7, NPD Australia reported on the PS4 sales for 2015 and they are very good. The console was the best selling one in 2015 accounting for over 59 percent of the market share. NPD Australia notes that the PS4 console outsold the “its closest competitor by 82% in value and 84% in units“....

PlayStation Nation will be hindered a tad on Monday as PlayStation has announced there will be regularly scheduled PSN Maintenance. News comes directly from the PS Blog that network maintenance will take place this coming Monday, August 25th. It is expected to last from 9:40 AM to 4:50 PM Pacific Time (12:40 PM to 7:50 PM Eastern Time). It is expected to last about seven (7) hours. Playstation will deploy a series of ‘back end improvements’ to the network during this time....
